Used bleaching cream on my cafe au lait birthmark, stopped and it has returned?

I have been using this bleaching cream on my face and my birthmark was practically gone. I started using this expensive cleanser and hydrator and it looks like the birthmark is getting darker again. Could the cleanser be making it darker again? Help?
